Welcome to Thaba eNtle
Thaba eNtle is a private family farm owned by the Nel family. With an immense love for the bushveld, the Nel family invested into this game farm in 2020 mainly for family exclusive use, which later developed into a unique bush experience they wanted to share with the public.
Located in the heart of the bushveld near Thabazimbi, Thaba eNtle is little more than a three-hour drive from Johannesburg and two and a half hours from Pretoria on well-maintained roads.
We offer guided game-viewing excursions on request and guests can enjoy our tranquil walking trails, cycling trails, and bird-viewing facilities. We are home to exotic game and our accommodation and entertainment areas promise a private, exhilarating, and memorable bush-living experience.
Enjoy a luxurious bushveld getaway with accommodation in our private chalets or log cabin, and enjoy memorable moments at our Boma, Tree Bar, various picnic and braai spots, or mountain view.
We believe in attention to detail and excellent service – for a truly unforgettable experience.
Wildlife roams freely at Thaba eNtle. This allows for spectacular game viewing and encounters. We specialise in some of South Africa’s most exotic wildlife species.
We are home to exotic game such as Sable, Golden Onyx, King Wildebeest, Golden Wildebeest, White Blesbuck, White Flang, and Saddleback Impala.
The sable is a rotund, barrel-chested antelope with a short neck, long face, and dark mane. Both females and males boast impressive ringed horns.
The Golden Onyx, better known as the Golden Gemsbok, is a unique variation in colour from the regular Gemsok, while the Kings Wildebeest and Golden Wildebeest are also rare variations in colour from the well-known Blue Wildebeest.
The White Blesbok is a truly beautiful sight. It is not an albino, but simply unique in colour.
We are also home to the Saddlebacked Impala, similar in colour to a normal Impala but with a very distinctively darker back.
Whether you are an avid bird watcher or just want to relax, Thaba eNtle also boasts a variety of bird species in abundance all year around.
